Rochelle Tisdale is a veteran Nevada educator and community leader based in Fallon, Nevada, and the mother of Anthony Tisdale and Dalton Kaady. She is best known for her long tenure at Oasis Academy, where she has served as high school principal and a driving force behind the school’s college-preparatory vision.

Over a 28-year career in education, Rochelle has taught and led in multiple school systems, including nearly a decade as a classroom teacher in California before moving into administrative roles in Nevada. She joined Oasis Academy in 2014 with a clear mandate to help build a rigorous, student-centered high school program and to secure a permanent campus for the growing charter school. Under her leadership, Oasis Academy College Prep has maintained a 100 percent graduation rate and a consistent 5-star rating, distinguishing it as one of Nevada’s most successful charter high schools.

Rochelle designed and implemented the school’s dual-enrollment model, which ensures that every student—regardless of initial placement scores—has access to college coursework and the opportunity to earn significant college credit before graduation. This innovative approach has contributed to millions of dollars in scholarships awarded to Oasis graduates and helped students transition smoothly into higher education and careers. She also helped launch the state’s only FFA chapter at a charter school, expanded athletics and co-curricular programs, and supported STEM and other enrichment initiatives that broadened opportunities for rural students.

In addition to her educational leadership, Rochelle has remained deeply engaged in the broader Fallon community, offering her experience and insight to local and state education discussions and initiatives. Her commitment to students is also reflected in her family: her son, Anthony, is a Churchill County High School graduate who went on to become an Air Force fighter pilot, Fed Ex pilot, owner and founder of Jet Training Professionals and Flyin'Tiz Aviation and pro temp Justice of the Peace while her son, Dalton, is pursuing his passion for music playing pedal steel guitar for various artists and honing his skills in construction.
